The unabashed abortion politics of the Democratic Party in 2024 have reached the point where Planned Parenthood is now offering free abortion pills and vasectomies at a mobile clinic parked near the Democratic National Convention.
True to form, the attendees of the convention have quickly filled all available appointments and numerous wannabe impotents will miss out on the opportunity for a free vasectomy. And for those seeking abortion pills and contraceptives, pills are provided aplenty, as my colleague Tiana Lowe Doescher recently discovered.
The brazen and vulgar public displays of pro-abortion politics taking center stage at the DNC represent the triumph of the “Shout Your Abortion” movement and the death of the side that claimed that abortion legality is only about ensuring that people have a choice and should be “safe, legal, and rare.”
In 2024, the message could not be more clear. Abortion and sterility are not only acceptable but are both positive goods that must be embraced and any suspicion of either is gross and “weird.” The rhetoric at the DNC surrounding abortion and vasectomies, in some respects, mirrors a shift that took place in the years before the Civil War when the defenders of the institution of slavery argued the practice was a positive good for society and needed to be preserved and expanded.
Abortion and sterility is a sacrament for the Democratic Party. With the mobile sterility and abortion clinic, an enormous blow-up IUD, and abortion as the party’s primary target issue, abortion is now the first and foremost concern of a party that ironically claims Republicans are obsessed with reproductive issues.

Pro-life Democrats, once a common sight in Congress and state legislatures, are all but extinct. Today, Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) is the last pro-life Democrat in Congress. All the others have either been excommunicated from the party or forced to renounce their previous anti-abortion positions, as was the case with Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA).
The implicit message of the Democratic Party’s themes of “abortions everywhere, vasectomies for all men, and contraceptives for all women” is that having children is so odious that undergoing a surgical procedure or taking chemical drugs is required to prevent it. And woe to you who dares to question it.
