An Indiana mother of three was shot dead through her kitchen window while making a TikTok video with a friend — allegedly by a stalker ex-boyfriend she had ominously predicted might kill her.
Kaitlynn Lee, 25, was “laughing, dancing and lip-synching” while filming with a friend Saturday when she suddenly turned to look at someone knocking on her window, according to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
“What are you doing here?” Lee was heard asking — before a shot rang out and she fell dead to the floor, WHAS-TV News reported.
Lee’s ex, Joshua Thompson, 25, was charged with murder after his gun was found outside the window with a single spent shell casing, the local outlet said.
He had shown up at his brother’s home “crying and distraught, telling him he shot the mother of his child in the head and killed her,” according to court records reviewed by WHAS.
After turning himself in, he allegedly confessed to shooting his ex — after hanging around her home to see if any men were visiting, the report said.
The estranged couple had “a toxic relationship” and Thompson had an active no-contact order in place.
A witness told cops that Lee was so concerned, she had said that “If she was ever found dead, Joshua killed her,” the court docs said.
“We take domestic violence allegations seriously,” Floyd County Prosecutor Chris Lane told the outlet. “And we’re taking them seriously in this case.
“Unfortunately this is not unusual for these allegations and circumstances,” Lane said. “Relationships can lead to tragic results and, unfortunately, the allegations are that’s what happened.”
Thompson is being held without bail at the Floyd County Jail.
A gofundme.com page set up by the slain woman’s friends has raised more than $11,000 by Thursday, when her wake and funeral scheduled to be held in New Albany.
